Ayurvedic Spring Cleanse
Ayurveda is comprised of two sanskrit words "ayur" meaning life, vital power and "veda" meaning knowledge. I think of it as living in tune with the rhythms of nature. As yogis, we lean heavily into this knowledge to support us throughout life's changes. Spring is a time for cleansing the heavy kapha of winter. We eat easily digested foods to give our digestive systems a much needed rest. Email me if you would like more information.
Sort through your winter wardrobe and notice anything you didn't wear. Look around your home and notice any little "piles" that may have accumulated. Put on your favourite playlist and start sorting things into 'donate", "keep" and "trash". The process will be so freeing!!
Although,I recommend getting outside in all seasons, spring offers the unique opportunity to see all of nature's rebirths. From the early crocus peaking out beneath rotting leaves to the scurrying of chipmunks up from their winter slumber, there is much to engage all the senses on a spring walk. Enjoy the cooler temperatures before the heat of summer!
