What is "metta"?
"Metta means lovingkindness. In metta the heart opens unconditionally, encompassing all that is, with acceptance, awareness, and good will. The word 'metta' is from Pali, the language of the earliest Buddhist texts. Metta is universal, finding expression in all religions and societies." Definition courtesy of the Metta Foundation.

Thai Massage Lotus Palm and The Sunshine Network Drawn to the compassionate touch of Thai Massage, Lisa studied at Lotus Palm, completing four levels of hands on Thai Massage training, as well as anatomy, philosophy and ayurveda. A trip to Thailand in 2011, was the highlight of her training as she was able to attend the very school where her teacher, Kam Thye Chow, studied, The Sunshine Network. Located in a small Lahu Village north of Chiang Mai, Thailand, Lisa embraced the teachings of senior instructor Nicky Smith and had the pleasure of receiving numerous Thai Massages. It was here in the "land of smiles" that the true meaning of "metta" came to life for Lisa as she learned the very real deep connection of the human spirit through compassionate touch. Bringing metta to herself and all of those who surround her is now a daily intention. Thai massage is offered in the home studio in Newmarket or in the comfort of your home. Please contact Lisa, email@example.com, directly for more information. "My name is Anne Rabjohn and I am a registered nurse. My mother is living in a local nursing home. She has multiple sclerosis and is in a wheelchair, her mobility is very limited, she tires easily and her muscles are greatly weakened. She does receive some physio therapy in the nursing home however, it is very limited. I was introduced to Lisa Kerr and her therapy of Thai Massage a couple of years ago at a a local yoga studio. I had personally tried her Thai Massage and found it very soothing and also invigorating. I thought this might be helpful for my mom so I asked Lisa if she would be able to do some therapy for my mom. The sessions were arranged and my mother has been receiving Lisa's massages for the last year and a half. I must say that my mom really looks forward to her sessions and she often says that she feels so 'energized' afterwards. I have also noted that she often has more strength in her legs and more mobility in her shoulders. She also says she feels so good and relaxed and that the sessions are not painful at all for her. She looks forward to her weekly sessions with Lisa. I strongly recommend Lisa and her Thai Massage Therapy." Anne Rabjohn RN "This wonderful technique, expertly and lovingly shared has offered me great recuperation and relaxation opportunities. The time stops still and I feel recharged and refreshed. Thank you Lisa." Brian Foot, BFF Communications
